With the Quarter 3 pre-test behind you, you now have an idea of what Quarter 3 has in store. Our first lesson will be on the Judicial Branch (your final branch to learn about!) As you know from the end of Quarter 2, the Article I of the Constitution sets up the Legislative Branch (makers of the laws), Article II sets up the Executive Branch (enforcing the laws) and now you will see that Article III sets up the Judicial Branch. This branch is in charge of interpreting our laws, deciding if they are Constitutional and helping to safeguard our rights! Today, we will be looking at the Judicial Branch in a FLASH. To begin, review your scale for the Judicial Branch AND take a look at some of the vocabulary words you are responsible for knowing like the back of your hand by the end of this Unit! |
