Learning Goal: S.W.B.A.T understand and describe how English policies and responses to colonial concerns led to the writing of the Declaration of Independence | Bell Work: Read pg. 97 in Your Text Books ("Governing the Colonies" and "A time of Change"). By the mid 1700's, the colonies had become used to governing themselves. In your journals, describe how you felt when we reviewed the fake school policy changes. Why did you feel this way? What was unfair about these fake changes? Furthermore, think about the colonial conditions you learned about through Active Note-Taking... What are some comparisons you can make between the fake policies and policies you think they will see take effect soon? Be prepared to discuss with the class :) |
