Today: Yes, as I let you know Mrs. Furgione will be absent. While I'm with other Civics teachers from around the state creating some awesome tutorials for you and other Florida civics students, be sure that you keep working hard and make me proud! Just because I'm out, does not mean that you stop working to your greatest potential! :) As always, you can scroll down and see your task breakdown for the day!
Task I. Reading w/4 Section Notes It seemed some of you had difficulty with The Judicial Branch Quiz. For those of you that did not, it never hurts to lock in our knowledge for use later on. I have drafted a brief reading to help you (Find on the Right). Please set up a page in your notebooks like the one shown to the right (Period 6 and 7 you have done this already). The Title will be "The Judicial Branch". Label section 2: Questions & Vocab, Label Section 3 Key Points and Label Section 4: Summary (where you summarize that section. The class will take turns reading each paragraph and working through the sections together to assure everyone is familiar with the Judicial Branch. Once you finish that section, create a new page for "The Supreme Court of the United States" portion of the reading. |
