Task of the Day!: Analyzing/ Translating the Declaration of Independence

- We will begin by translating some key phrases from the declaration.
- In addition to the announcement of American independence, Jefferson had three main goals for writing. When we view different passages of the Declaration of Independence we will use assigned colors to highlight the passages we read and translate: blue for those passages describing the natural rights of humans; yellow for those describing what the role of government should be; and red for those that state the colonists’ complaints against the king.
