Examine the impact of media, individuals, and interest groups on monitoring and influencing government.
|
Bell Work: Take a moment to review your notes from last week. (Be prepared for some pop questions!)
Task I: Interest Groups Reading
We've learned what propaganda is, but who uses it? How do Media, Individuals & Interest Groups all monitor and influence government? Today in our readings you will find out! Task II: Solving the Potato Problem After you have completed your reading and considered multiple perspectives, you yourself will get to solve the potato problem!
Task III. Ch. 12 Predictions
As I mentioned before, this is one of my favorite units to teach because it's very easy for you to think of impacts you can directly have on the world around you through civics! Before we continue this week, I want to make sure everyone has completed their predictions! Using Chapter 12. in your book, fill out the following graph in your notes section of your binder/ notebook (don't forget to label and date all of your entries!). |
